Description

Hardening of the OS is the act of configuring an OS securely, updating it, creating rules and policies to help govern the system in a secure manner, and removing unnecessary applications and services. This is done to minimize a computer OS’s exposure to threats and to mitigate possible risk.  Procedures should be implemented at the server in order to keep the risk of a cyber-attack to a minimum.

MSPKART Server Hardening assessment emphasizes the importance of first understanding your in-scope environment’s business function, placement, configuration, operational/maintenance activities and objectives before ever starting a technical examination, utilizing a mixture of the most relevant standards and frameworks, including the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmark program. These industry standards, applied and interpreted through knowledge of your environment will be used to provide an Assessment Report. The report will provide findings and prioritize discovered areas of concern to provide clear direction for remediation.
